What is the best season for buying Pink Lady® apples ?
There is no ‘best season’ because our apples are produced according to the same specifications all year round. Our aim is to offer the same quality in terms of colour, firmness and sugar content on a permanent basis. If you buy a Pink Lady® between November and May, it comes from Europe. If you buy it between June and September, it comes from the southern hemisphere. In both cases, the quality requirements are the same.
Do Pink Lady® apples have the same taste throughout the seasons ?
Yes, of course. No matter when you buy your Pink Lady® apple it will have the same taste. The specifications are very precise in terms of colour, sugar levels and firmness, and all of our producers adhere to them. Numerous inspections (over 1300 over the year) are performed by an independent auditing firm (Bureau Veritas).
Why is Pink Lady® often more expensive than other apples ?
Growing Pink Lady® requires more time and more trained technicians than other varieties. Pink Lady® is the first apple to blossom and the last to be harvested. This long ripening process requires the producer to be at hand at all times. Close attention is required from when the trees are first planted through to harvesting and packaging (sorting and packing lines are deliberately slowed down by 20–30% compared with other varieties to monitor and ensure the optimum quality of the fruit).
Can I buy a Pink Lady® tree ?
Unfortunately, no. The Pink Lady® market is supplied by a collective of nurseries, producers and suppliers whose aim is to develop a permanent supply of very high quality fruit. Furthermore, the distribution of the trees is controlled and registered in order to achieve this goal.

How long can I keep my Pink Lady® apple?
If stored carefully, you can keep a Pink Lady® apple for between 8 to 15 days at room temperature and for longer periods in the refrigerator. Remember to take it out an hour before you wish to eat it to allow its flavours to fully express themselves. Always handle Pink Lady® apples with care to ensure that they retain their firmness and aren’t bruised.
How many calories are there in a Pink Lady® apple?
A Pink Lady® apple provides 54Kcal/100gr. It is rich in fibre and contains 10% carbohydrates. It is an excellent, and natural, appetite suppressant.
Is Pink Lady® a sweet apple ?
A Pink Lady® contains 10% carbohydrates, 4% vitamins and minerals and over 80% water. Its fructose content is above average, providing your whole body with energy. In fact, maximum sugar content is one of the selection criteria for a Pink Lady® apple.
Are Pink Lady® production methods environmentally friendly ?
Pink Lady® growers make a contractual commitment, through integrated fruit production charters. This cultivation method, which protects the environment, combines conventional practices with natural solutions from organic farming: – The orchards are observed constantly, using software to monitor the trees, the soil’s water requirements and the climate; – Biodiversity and a natural balance are maintained through grassy fields, hedges and birdhouses in the orchards; – Priority is given to natural methods of tree protection, such as using natural predators, for instance, ladybirds, against aphids, and the mating disruption pest management technique; – Any other measures, such as applying synthetic products, are kept to a strict minimum and used as a last resort and in case of absolute necessity.

Some of them have also opted for totally organic production, which currently represents 2% of Pink Lady® apple orchards. This type of agriculture is becoming more common.
