Sport and Spring, a great combination
Have you neglected the gym, your dance class or the swimming pool this winter? The return of spring gives us all a boost, so now is the time to get motivated!
Keen joggers, hikers and bikers, have you been going mad inside all winter? Spring is finally here, so why not celebrate? This is the ideal season for getting back into your favorite sport!
If you don’t have a favorite sport, don’t worry: you can still enjoy a gentle walk outside in nature. It’s a great way to discover new places while exercising! Leave the car in the garage, slip on a great pair of trainers and step outside to enjoy the moment!
You can also try cycling. Of course, if you live in the countryside this is easy, but even city dwellers can rent bikes easily now, so why not give it whirl?
We can also use the energy boost spring brings to take the stairs instead of the lift and, whenever possible, walk home instead of taking the underground, bus or tram to make the most of the sunshine and the birds singing.
Many feet make light work!
Sometimes it’s not that we don’t want to, it’s because we just don’t know where to start! And it can be difficult to get motivated all alone. Why not enlist a friend? It’s a great excuse to get together, catch up and relax while mutually motivating each another. Take time for yourself! Take it in turns to meet at each other’s houses whenever you’re free and when the weather’s great, why not step outside! It’s so much easier and much more fun when you work together.
While we all know that sport is good for our bodies and well-being and that it helps us get in shape, in springtime it is also about getting back in touch with our bodies and taking time to relax.
