A human adventure
A story about people
Once upon a time... Pink Lady® is the fruit of a love affair between a Golden Delicious and a Lady Williams. John Cripps, an inspired Australian, had the idea to naturally cross the two varieties in 1973.
Once upon a time… It was love at first sight. 2800 producers in France, Italy, and Spain grow and cultivate the apple with love.
The anecdote
John Cripps undoubtedly borrowed the name from his favourite novel, The Cruel Sea by Nicholas Montsarrat (1951). In this story, the hero savours a cocktail called ‘Pink Lady’.

- How long have you been growing Pink Lady® apples ?
«I started in 1998, convinced that Pink Lady® had more to offer in terms of taste and customer satisfaction. I found the color unique. Today it represents 18% of my orchard and it’s just the beginning.»
- What is different about the way it is grown ?
It requires great technical skill. The size, the position and the quantity of the fruit in each tree is important. Growing Pink Lady® is like a recognition of our expertise. The slow and meticulous harvest process requires careful and trained technicians.
- What does Pink Lady® bring to you ?
The final result is a product of great quality and this encourages us to do our job well and to ensure consumer satisfaction.
