LITTLE TARTS WITH SHREDDED PINK LADY® APPLES AND DRIED FRUITS WITH VANILLA

Ingredients for 4 servings
 
  • 3 Pink Lady® apples
  • 2 tablespoons golden raisins
  • 5 pitted prunes
  • 4 dried apricots
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 vanilla stick
  • 20 g butter
  • 2 ready-made puff pastry sheets

 
 

Let’s go !

  • 1- Peel and core the Pink Lady® apples and then slice into quarters and shred the quarters. Cut the prunes and dried apricots into small cubes. Cut the vanilla pod in half lengthwise, and then cut each half into three pieces.
  • 2- In a saucepan, melt the butter and add the shredded apples, the dried fruits and the vanilla. Sprinkle with sugar and let cook 10 minutes over low heat. Remove the vanilla sticks. Cut 4 circles into each puff pastry dough sheet. Place a dough circle in each pre-buttered or greased mould.

The special touch
Line each greased pan with a dough circle, then arrange the apples in the four pans and cover with the remaining dough circles. Seal the edges well. Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C for 20 minutes.
