Apples are the most widely consumed fruit in the world... and undoubtedly the oldest!
They have always been a part of our daily existence. This is further reinforced by the following medieval recipe. Apples were already well known for their taste and greatly appreciated. http://www.crapaudine.com
The turnip and apple “porez” is a sweet and creamy soup. The contrasting flavours of turnips, apples and honey give it a very fine taste.
4 cups of diced turnips 4 cups of peeled and deseeded apples 10 cups of water 1 cup of honey 1 pinch of salt 1 teaspoon of cinnamon 1 teaspoon of nutmeg 2 tablespoons of butter
Mix all ingredients in a big stockpot and bring to boil. Leave to cook for 30 to 45 minutes until the turnips are tender.
Let it cool and retain the water.
When the turnips and apples are lukewarm, blend them in a food processor. The mixture must be (...)

Temptation, seduction, bewitchment...the apple hypnotises and takes over its victim’s soul. Disney illustrated this notion with brio...
The narrative figure was even so effective that Disney used it again in Enchanted !
Apples are often used in motion pictures. For example, in Pirates of the Caribbean , the evil Barbossa offers a red apple to Elizabeth...temptation, once more!
