Pink apple
20 January 2009
A little less known than its distant relative “This is not a pipe”, Magritte’s painting takes up the problem.
Created in 1964, "This is not an apple" makes us wonder about the representational value of image and its necessary distance from reality.
It is also interesting to note the inception of Pink Lady®, which constantly reminds us that... "It’s so much more than an apple!"

Pink apple

To all lovers of Pink Lady® apples, don’t miss out on this Ode to Apples, penned by Pablo Neruda.
In his Third Book of Odes, the Latin American author pays homage to the world’s oldest fruit, incorporating its most potent symbolism.
The last verses of the poem are very revealing:
I want to see
all the populations of the world united, reunited, in the simplest action on earth: biting into an apple.
